A grower in Portland, Oregon just hit the jackpot for DEHU rebates. His facility was in Energy Trust of Oregon territory, which offered unique and limited DEHU retrofit incentives.
“This was really a godsend … with how smooth this whole thing is” they commented after the rebates arrived.
Byron wanted to upgrade DEHUs for his established indoor cannabis facility outside Portland, Oregon. He wanted Quest 335s, which would keep his indoor air quality consistent, clean, easily controlled, and at a lower operating cost. However, upfront cash was a barrier.
Their contact at Indoor Garden Supply, along with Hawthorne Garden Company directed Byron to Seinergy. Seinergy specializes in helping growers access conservation funds for energy efficient grow equipment. In November 2022, we provided a rebate estimate of over $4,200 per Quest 335 unit.
Due to upfront cash restrictions, Seinergy helped Byron split the project into two phases. After securing funding from the Energy Trust, he purchased twelve units for around $55K. Seinergy submitted the rebate application in early February and by the beginning of March, Byron had over $48k cash back from the ETO rebate program.
Cash in hand, Byron declared “Now we have the budget to retrofit Phase 2!”
He took that rebate and ordered another twelve 335s. By the beginning of May he had another $48k in the bank, representing a cash-back rebate of 87% of the original cost. Plus an entire facility with brand new Quest DEHUs. Wow!
If you’re thinking of upgrading to new, efficient Quest units – act now! This rebate offering is overly robust and we can’t imagine that it will be available forever. We have experienced abrupt cancellation of ETO programs in the past. Rebates are available for retrofits as well as new construction. However, the retrofit rebates are far more robust.
If you’re not 100% ready to make the purchase, you can still sign up with Seinergy and receive pre-approval for certain projects, like LED lighting. This will reserve funds for your equipment for up to 12 months, even if the rest of the budget runs out, or programs change.
