Doubling Down

Seinergy donates 1% of our top-line revenue to non-profits that support resource efficiency, ecological repair & preservation, and access to the outdoors. In addition, we make monthly contributions to the Last Prisoner Project.  As our company grows so do our contributions.  1% For The Planet certifies our annual giving, ensuring we put our money where our mouths are.

Meet the Team

Seinergy culture embraces entrepreneurship and creativity as well as hustle and grit. We are a small business; we value innovation, calculated risks, flipping mental models upside down, sustainable business practices, and a work-life balance. For our clients, this means we go to bat for you, hopefully delivering you results you didn't know were possible.

Bob Gunn, Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Bob founded Seinergy to test new market opportunities while challenging some outdated utility models. Enter the cannabis industry, and Seinergy was poised to connect growers with utilities and help utilities hit the ground running by applying custom energy grant funding to the nascent and rapidly evolving industry. Prior to Seinergy Bob was an economist at Snohomish Public Utility District as an energy efficiency planner and evaluator. Bob completed his MBA at Bainbridge Graduate Institute (now Presidio Graduate School), and his BA in economics from Colorado College; he is a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Certified Engineers. Bob is an analyst at heart, rooted in the electric utility industry, and loves numbers, spreadsheets, and energy efficiency. At home, Bob loves to tinker, create, adventure in the mountains, on the water, or on a bike with his kids.

Emi Gunn, Director of Marketing, HR, Accounting & Sustainability

Emi joins Seinergy after experience managing programs, events, communications, databases, accounts and outreach, primarily with non-profits. She enjoys the variety of tasks involved in a small business and the private sector in general.  She holds an MBA in Sustainable Business with a focus on Community Economic Development and a BA from Huxley College in Environmental Education. Emi believes the weather is never a reason to stay indoors and is committed to regular outside activities and adventure; she drags along her two kids and analyst husband.

Postyn Smith, Energy Analyst & Project Manager

Postyn enjoys facilitating collaborations between innovative projects, utilities, and government programs to save energy. He brings knowledge about horticultural lighting programs covering more than 200 million customers in the US and Canada and keeps his nose to the ground to learn about new and changing opportunities. Before joining Seinergy, Postyn developed renewable energy, sustainability, and climate change programs. He holds a BA in Physics from Williams College. Outside of work, Postyn likes to run, doggy paddle in Lake Washington, and chase snowflakes by ski in nearby mountains.
