$311,000 rebate delivered to Michigan grower after buildout project is complete

Congratulations to Compassion Care in Michigan for receiving $311,000 in cash-back energy efficiency rebates. In June 2020, President and CEO John Siggerud asked their vendor about rebates in the middle of a new facility buildout. Seinergy stepped in to reserve funds for a rebate from Compassion’s electric utility, Consumers Energy.

Although the project experienced delays in construction as well as equipment changes, Seinergy was able to manage utility expectations, timelines and adapt the rebate to operational shifts. Initially, the rebate was for lighting fixtures only. However, Seinergy also identified DEHU rebate opportunities along the way.

The rebate hit Compassion’s bank account after the completion of a large and financially demanding build-out. In response to the deposit, Siggerd stated, “Thank you for all you’ve done. We were over budget and this puts us back in line.”

Consumers electric offers rebates of up to 40% off retail price for efficient fixtures. Make sure to get an estimate for your Michigan commercial project today!
