$264,000 in rebates to Oklahoma growers before offerings dwindle
Secure funding before OG&E’s Gavita rebates shrink in December
Two cultivators in Oklahoma recently received over $264,000 in rebates for new Gavita and Quest equipment. Both facilities, in Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E) territory, are now operating with cutting edge technology, reduced electric bills, and extra cash in the bank.
One grower, in Shawnee, received $83,100 to offset the cost of CT1930s and Quest 225s. And a $181,800 rebate for Gavita 2400es and Quest 335s was delivered to a Wewoka cultivator. Both cashed in on $200-$300 back per fixture, plus more for DEHUs.
OG&E’s program ran out of budget in August 2023. Although the program has funds for 2024, offerings are reduced by 18%. Had Seinergy’s clients waited, they would have received $15,000 and $32,700 less cash-back respectively. However, OG&E generously extended higher incentive rates to projects that are approved before the end of 2023.
Growers interested in taking advantage of high rates for 2024 equipment purchases must sign up with Seinergy within the next 40 days (BEFORE December 10, 2023). Most rebates can be secured up to one year before installation. Don’t lose money by waiting too long.
Oklahoma Gas & Electric is an investor-owned electric utility with 860,000 customers, primarily in Oklahoma. It services much of central and NW Oklahoma including Oklahoma City, Norman, Tulsa and Ponca City.
